We Fight for Immigrants Because We Understand What Is at Stake
Ehsan Law was built for people whose lives, families, and futures depend on the immigration system getting it right.
A Journey of Hope and Purpose
Asif Ehsan founded Ehsan Law after living the immigrant journey himself. He came to the United States through educational opportunity, later faced the uncertainty of rebuilding his life here, and ultimately dedicated his career to helping other immigrants find safety, stability, and opportunity.
Before founding the firm, Asif served as a prosecutor and judicial law clerk, gaining courtroom experience and insight into how judges evaluate evidence, credibility, and legal arguments. Today, that experience shapes how Ehsan Law prepares every case: with compassion, honesty, and disciplined legal strategy.
"We advocate for your opportunity to build a new life in the U.S. — because we've lived the journey."
Today, Ehsan Law represents clients nationwide — from detained immigrants in removal proceedings to families applying for green cards, citizenship, or asylum. We bring compassion, integrity, and a relentless commitment to justice to every case we handle.

Asif Ehsan
Founder & Managing Attorney
Asif Ehsan, founder and managing attorney of Ehsan Law / Ehsan Legal Group, is not only a dedicated immigration attorney — he is also a living testament to the transformative power of opportunity, resilience, and service.
Asif has been a direct beneficiary of this country's generosity. He first came to the United States as a Fulbright Scholar, earning his Bachelor's degree from Macalester College in Minnesota. He later returned through a U.S. Department of State-funded scholarship to complete his Master of Laws (LL.M.) at Washington and Lee University School of Law in Virginia.
His dream was to use the legal education and values he had gained in the United States to help create a justice system that served the people of Afghanistan. He worked in various legal and reform-focused roles and taught law at the university level.
However, after completing his Juris Doctor (J.D.) at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, the situation in Afghanistan was deteriorating significantly. Returning was no longer safe. Asif was forced to make an incredibly difficult choice: to remain in the United States and start over once again — this time as a refugee.
It was during this time of deep uncertainty that Asif became the client of a skilled and compassionate immigration attorney. Through that attorney's tireless advocacy, he was able to secure the legal right to remain in the United States.
That experience didn't just alter the course of his life — it became the foundation of his life's mission.
"We advocate for your opportunity to build a new life in the United States, so you too can contribute to this great country."
Before starting his own firm, Asif served as a prosecutor in Minnesota and Washington, handling cases from charging to trial. He also served as a judicial law clerk to two district court judges in Minnesota, gaining deep insight into how judges evaluate legal arguments.
These experiences — combined with his international legal background, personal immigration journey, and unwavering commitment to service — now shape how Asif practices law.
Asif's work is more than legal representation — it is a way to give back to the country that gave him safety, opportunity, and a new beginning.
